About the Project
Around The Corner is a short film about a faithful Christian man named John, in a struggling marriage, who is tempted by a beautiful woman in an unexpected way.
John’s faith and commitment are severely challenged. He struggles between staying faithful to his wife, and receiving the affirmation and affection that he desperately craves. This is a captivating and emotional short film by which many people are going to be moved.
We need your support to make this project happen! We are excited about producing this short film. Currently, we are putting together an amazing cast and crew who will be volunteering many hours of their time and effort to make this project the best it can be. Unfortunately, we still have expenses that need to be paid for - so your contributions will be extremely helpful in making this project a success!
We are planning to shoot this short film at the end of September. We need to raise most of the money before shooting starts so that we can continue production on schedule.
About the Director
Luke Herchuk is the co-writer and director of Around The Corner. I created this story with my brother Joshua Herchuk. As a kid, I always loved the process of making films. At 9 years old, I bought my first camera and started making videos with my brothers. I didn't think I would be able to shoot anything "professional”.
It wasn't until I was 14 that I started taking things more seriously. I made my first short film and then never looked back. I continue to improve my skills every day and learn as much about filmmaking as possible. My goal is to create high quality entertainment that touches people, while subverting society’s deceptions and presenting the truth of Jesus Christ as the best way to live.
Our last short film fundraiser - Perception
Perception is one of my most recent short films that we made in 2020. We raised close to $7,000 dollars to produce it. We originally scheduled shooting to last for 4 days, but we finished early in 3 days! We had a fantastic cast and crew of about 30 people and it turned out very well. You can watch that film here.
We sent Perception to some film festivals and it was selected to play at four!

The Impact of Around The Corner
Sometimes people can think that they're safe from failing in big ways, but I think that this story will help people to consider how they might be vulnerable to making massive mistakes in their own lives.
My hope is that after watching this short film, people will be encouraged to be more open and honest with where they are at in their lives and the ways that they might be struggling. Also I hope that people will be encouraged to reach out and support others that might be vulnerable to tripping up in big ways.
